نظام الملفات exfat معناه هو ملفات النظام الممتده و هو نظام أعلى من FAT 32 و التى تتيح حجم الملف فى نظام FAT32 إلى 4 جيجا إلى ما لا نهايه أو بلا حدود فى نظام ويندز فيستا مثلا و الأنظمه الجديده مثل ويندوز 7
? What is exFAT
exFAT is a new file system introduce by Microsoft in Windows Vista SP1. This file system usually used in removable storage devices like Pen Drives, External HDD and Mobile Device. There are a lot of advantages of exFAT File System over FAT, FAT32 or NTFS.We can create a partition over 32 GB in any Removable device on the other hand other file system doesn’t allow this.
The maximum size of any file in any removable device is 4 GB when it is formatted in FAT32, we cannot store a single file over 4GB but it allows. Its processing is much faster than any other File FormatIn other File Format, there are limited number of files can be store in one directory on the other hand there is no limit in exFAT.There are some drawbacks also in exFAT like readyboost feature don’t work in exFAT file system, but there is a lot of advantage of exFATIf we have earlier version of windows then we cannot interact with exFAT formatted devices only Windows Vista SP1 has that feature.
by that we can also use exFAT formatted drives in earlier version of Windows
